We have a chevy 350 engine that when it is timed with a timing light, it hardly runs, overheats and backfrires out the exaust. We can adjust the distributer to where it runs good, and the timing according to the light is way off the pointer. My distributer was loose, we needed to reset timing with no timing tab!
